Wonderswan Introduction

Bandai’s diminutive handheld was launched on March 4th1999. Two major hardware revisions would happen. First on December 9th 2000 with the release of the much needed Wonderswan Color, and again on July 12th 2002 with the SwanCrystal. The Wonderswan was the swansong for both its lead developer Gunpei Yokoi who tragically died in a traffic accident, as well as Bandai who left the hardware market altogether.

With over 200 games released, and a myriad of colors to choose from, there’s still a lot to love about this little handheld. So what are the differences between the different models?
